So then Generic pnp monitor on standard vga graphics adapter went to update the driver for it and choose “let me choose location” and then I was given the choice to choose drivers from a list and I did, and then I monifor a list of Manufacturers and found Nvidia, then I found my GPU at that point I was extremely hopeful that this was going to work, so then I tried installing the exact driver for my GPU, but to no avail I got and error message saying that it was uncompatible with my hardware.

When I navigate to the aadpter settings’ screen and click ‘detect’ external display nothing shows up. Geneeric code is on. Try this out as well, it should work. As it is a fresh install I would also make sure that your chipset driver is installed as that could also effect it.
